RECREATIONAL POOL – The recreational pool (rec pool) is located on level 2 of the RFC and is accessible through the locker rooms. The rec pool is a warm water pool used for recreational swim, Aquatics classes, and swim lessons.

 

Use of the rec pool is permitted only during scheduled open swim hours when a Lifeguard is on duty.

  Children ages 4 and under must have a parent in the pool with them at all times.

  Children ages 5 - 9 are permitted in the pool with a parent supervising from the deck at all times.

  Children ages 10 - 11 are permitted in the pool with a parent in the building.

  Children ages 12 and older are permitted in the pool on their own.

LAP POOL – The lap pool is located on level 1 in the Cougar Sports Center, and is the property of the University of Minnesota-Morris. RFC members and guests are permitted to use the lap pool during scheduled open swim hours when a Lifeguard is on duty.

Pool hours are subject to change and it is the member and guest’s responsibility to stay up to date on changes in the pool and facility hours. On occasion, one or both of the pools may be closed due to a private reservation or maintenance.

 

Guests must follow all posted rules and regulations. Proper swim attire is required in all pools. Lap pool lanes should be shared during peak hours.

Pools will be closed annually for mandatory maintenance and cleaning. The lap pool is used by the UMN-Morris swim teams, the RFC Tiger Sharks swim club, and the Morris Area High School swim teams. The RFC will, to the best of their ability, keep lap pool hours as consistent as possible for their guests.
