RFC 2010 ‘Destiny Drivers’

  1. Match as much as possible the operating hours of any other regional/local fitness facilities and meet our community member’s needs.
  2. Match and exceed any other Stevens County regional/local fitness membership options.
  3. Coordinate & Develop year-round programs such as:

-         Group Fitness; Seniors

-         Fitness & Health; Personal Training

-         Children/Youth/Teen and Family -after school, summer, and weekend programs

-         Swim Lessons

  1. Develop ‘fundraiser’ annual goal/program to improve specific areas of the RFC, i.e. Rec Pool ‘Acoustics’ and get community member involvement.
  2. Seek grants for program and community healthy living needs.
  3. Develop a ‘Customer Services & Marketing’ service area and hire a marketing/customer service staff person to work the front desk staff (to improve customer service and reduce FD staff turnover) while carrying out mkting plans.

-         customer service needs: handle membership & insurance paperwork in a more consistent professional manner with trained office staff; extend “business hours’ into evening; develop new member orientation services and ‘new member’ brochure; add customer follow up services; increase member communications; improve front desk check-in  service

-         marketing needs: display w/pictures; table skirt; promo items such as…RFC logo candy, balloons, magnets; new logo/branding; new web pages, graphics, hosted UMM site; social networking options; develop better communications with new and renewing members by more frequent emails and updates; other…summer groups/UMM promos, table tents, mailboxes, business tables, local billboard?

  1. Work with major employers in Morris community to offer special new RFC memberships with insurance rebate thru their health insurance benefits program for all new & current employees who enroll in auto-monthly bank account withdrawals.  Offer ‘family’ membership for price of single adult for any new members and specials discounted individual memberships for new hires.  Help with employee orientations and benefit promotions.
  2. Develop a Morris area wellness challenge to increase community member physical activity and healthy lifestyles and achieve designation as a Minnesota ‘Fit’ city.

This will result in an increase of 100+ members by end of 2010-2011 and ensure future facility and program operations.
